Happy Birthday Des and Welcome Home LEVI!

     My darling husband turned the big 2 4 on July the 5th!! It also happened to be Levi's last night in hospital which meant we could enjoy the 24hr babysitting service we have had for the last 2 months one last time and go out for tea! Levi made him a card with his footprints on it- clever boy and daddy loved it!

     What better birthday present than to finally bring our little man home- and what a homecoming it was! I'm sure we both cried out a small ocean and checked that he was still breathing about a hundred times!! :) The journey still continues, we have been discharged on the hospital at home program which means we tube feed at home and have second daily visits by the nurse to check his weight! Presently we are attempting to exclusively breastfeed and are desperately trying to do away with the tube- next weigh in is today so we will see how we've gone!  Can't actually believe how far we have come in these last two months! Levi is an inspiration and a daily example of Gods almighty love and care for us! We are truly blessed! Till next time xoxooxoxxo

Levi's first BIG bath!!

Hello from Levi!

Hello all!

Its been a very eventful week! Levi got transfered from NICU to special care nursery, had his first bath, wore his first set of clothes, breathed all on his own, put on 120g taking his weight to a grand total of 1780g's and made the big trip in an ambulance to the LGH special care nursery, otherwise known as 'the Fat Farm'!!! He is doing well and we continue to marvel at Gods goodness and His almighty care for our little man and us as a family!I am back at home and loving it- so much so that I even loved hearing Des snore next to me last night!! I REALLY must have missed him!! The rollar-coaster journey still continues, and we are so looking forward to the day we get to bring him home!! Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers!

Our Little Man

Hi all just a quick update on Levi. Today he was taken on of his breathing support (cpap) and allowed to be dressed for the first time. We have been having lots of holds (kangaroo cares) which we all have enjoyed very much. He now weights over 1700 grams and is in a very stable condition. We thank God for his amazing care over us all and for all your love and support. Des, Sylv and Levi xoxoxo

Our Little Miracle

Welcome to the world LEVI JACOB! Born 22:32, 18/05/2010, (29 weeks and 5 days), 1555grams and 42cm long. We are so proud of our little man, he has been through so much since he was born but yet continues to show us Gods amazing providence and care. Moving onto back yard, cleared and ready for shed- Check! There is now a shed standing in place which he erected with some help from his mates! Pictures of said shed to follow as well as planned concreting and new extended deck! Phew! And all I do is make scones for morning tea!  :) Love you babe x
